Why Do I See an Extra $1–$2 Charge on My Credit Card?

If you notice an unexpected $1–$2 charge from Church Motion Graphics (CMG) on your credit card or bank statement, here’s what you need to know.

What This Charge Is

The $1–$2 charge is a temporary authorization hold. It's used by some payment processors or banks to verify that the card is active and valid. This is common during:

  • A new subscription signup

  • Updating payment details

  • A reattempted or declined payment

These small charges are not actually billed and should disappear within a few business days.

What You Should Do

  • Wait a few days: These charges typically drop off automatically.

  • Check with your bank: Some banks list temporary holds in the same way as real charges.

  • Still concerned? Contact CMG Support and include a screenshot of the charge.

Is This a Double Charge?

No. This charge does not mean you’ve been billed twice. You will only be charged the subscription amount listed in your plan (monthly or annually). The $1–$2 is a temporary verification hold and is not added to your total.
